Dr Tsin Yen Koh completed her PhD in Political Science at Harvard University in 2019. She holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University and an MPhil in Political Thought and Intellectual History from Cambridge University. She spent several years working in the Singapore public service before pursuing graduate studies.

Dr Koh is interested in eighteenth and nineteenth-century political thought, and currently in the changing relationship between utility, liberty and equality. She is presently working on a book on the role of pleasure and judgment in Jeremy Bentham’s political thought, with a focus on his writings on sex and religion.
