Humanities (Philosophy)
Lecturer

Sherice Ngaserin received a BA (Hons.) in Philosophy and Global Antiquity from Yale-NUS College in 2018; and a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2023.

Dr Ngaserin was a Yale-NUS Overseas Graduate Scholar from 2018-2023, and a collaborator for a Yale-NUS Grant on Buddhist-Platonist Dialogues from 2019-2023.

My training is in Buddhist philosophy and Plato, where I mostly work on the intersections between metaphysics and ethics. My current research involves tracking and translating various South Asian Buddhist debates about the metaphysics of gender from 5th century BCE to 4th century CE. I am also interested in TTRPG (tabletop role-playing game) ethics and in exploring the potential of TTRPGs as a pedagogical tool.
