Based on a visually stunning and historically important collection of more than 150 postcards from the Lim Shao Bin Collection at the National Library Singapore, Postcard Impressions of Early 20th-Century Singapore offers fascinating insights into Japanese society in Singapore in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It also tackles related topics like tourism, war and empire in pre-World War II Singapore.

Written by Professor of Humanities (History) Naoko Shimazu and alumni Ling Xi Min and Regina Hong, this book is published by the National Library Board, Singapore.
