Trump wants China to fix North Korea, but it isn’t going to happen, CNBC, 30 August 2017

CNBC carried an article on US-China relations, in light of US President Donald Trump blaming China for not taking a harsher stance on North Korea. In doing so, it also analysed the China-North Korea relationship and interviewed experts on their views. CNBC interviewed Yale-NUS College Assistant Professor of Social Sciences (Political Science) Chin-Hao Huang who shared that China might be seeking to avoid a wave of refugees flooding into China, which could result from a breakdown in Pyongyang’s regime. The article further noted Dr Huang citing the example of China’s statement that the situation with Pyongyang was at a “tipping point”.
