Rhetorical birth of an anti-China bulwark, Asia Times, 13 November 2017

n an article that looked at Trump’s recent repeated use of the term ‘Indo-Pacific’ over ‘Asia Pacific’ and China’s increased power since 2007, Asia Times noted that Assistant Professor of Social Sciences (Political Science) Rohan Mukherjee had earlier written that “Beijing is in a better position today to undermine the Indo-Pacific vision than it has ever been”. Dr Mukherjee also discussed the reliance that Japan and Australia have on China for trade, explaining that this might prevent them from taking a firm anti-China position.
