Times Higher Education published a blog post by Trisha Craig, Dean of International and Professional Experience on how the College prepared its inaugural cohort of graduates for their post-college pursuits. As a new institution, Yale-NUS had the additional task of preparing the market for its new graduates. To overcome these challenges, the College used a variety of strategies which were put into effect well before the students were ready to graduate. These include working with non-governmental organisations on internship placements; outreach to the local labour market; tapping on faculty to explain the content of our curriculum to potential employers; enabling undergraduates to undertake research; sending students on study abroad and exchange programmes; and early engagement to identify and build strong portfolios for students with strong academic and leadership potential. PA pitched and facilitated this blog post to Times Higher Education.
