Powering Progress Together 2018 continues discussions on more and cleaner energy, Rappler, 19 March 2018

Rappler, an Filipino online news website, carried a story about Shell Powering Progress Together 2018, a global forum which brought business leaders, representatives from the government sector, academics, entrepreneurs, students, and Shell executives together at the Changi Exhibition Centre to talk about technology, powering economies, and energy solutions. The team of students from Yale-NUS College won the Imagining the Future Scenarios competition, which challenged youths to come up with plausible, fundamental scenarios of the future. Joshua Phua (Class of 2020) was quoted as saying, “Regardless of which world we find ourselves in, we think the energy sector should work more closely with data-centered industries and start forming strong ties today because these sectors are what would be driving the energy consumption in the future.” Rappler also carried the team’s poster “A Binary World vs A Dispersed World”, as well as photo of the team which comprised Ann Chen, Adila Sayyed, Joshua Phua, Benyamin Jamieson and Wen Kin Lim. (Aditya Karhera, also in the team, was not in the photo.)
