How to fall in love with the culinary arts, CBC Radio, 18 June 2019

Assistant Professor of Social Sciences (Psychology) Paul O’Keefe was recently interviewed on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s podcast “Personal Best”. The episode revolves around how the show’s hosts help a romantic poet muster up a passion for cooking. Asst Prof O’Keefe is consulted on his research about fixed- and growth-theory of interest, which suggests that people who believe that passions can be developed instead of being something innate are more likely to try things outside their comfort zone, and less likely to give up when things get challenging.

Asst Prof O’Keefe’s interview can be heard from 06:40 to 08:53.
