Doklam redux: Winter is coming, Business Standard, 11 October 2017

Business Standard carried a piece by Yale-NUS Assistant Professor of Political Science Rohan Mukherjee which analysed the tensions between India and China in light of the standoff between Indian and Chinese troops in Doklam along the China-Bhutan border. He said that the Doklam crisis remained fundamentally unresolved in terms of the larger strategic changes and challenges facing India with regard to China. In his conclusion, he opined that the military, organisational, and political path for India was clear, and New Delhi must continue developing its border infrastructure, reforming its defence sector, and pursuing more adroit neighbourhood diplomacy.
