Research Fellow

Duties and Responsibilities

The goal of this project is to investigate and develop computer algorithms that can automatically detect/localise vehicles and humans as well as to recognise their colours from videos, which are degraded by nighttime, low-light, and rain conditions. The duty of the research fellow is to accomplish the goal by completing the milestones through his/her research. Concretely, the milestones include setting-up cameras, data collection, algorithm development, implementation/coding, experimenting/analysing the developed algorithms, writing reports, and publishing papers in top international conferences/journals. The research fellow also has responsibilities to work together with the principal investigator as well as with the lab members.

Requirements

  1. PhD in computer science or engineering
  2. Having strong knowledge and experiences in computer vision, deep learning and machine learning
  3. Having published papers in top international journals or conferences in either computer vision, deep learning, or machine learning (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, TPAMI, TIP, NIPS, ICLR, etc).
  4. Having experiences with deep learning frameworks
  5. Good verbal communication and writing skills in English
