Dave Stanfield is the Dean of Students at Yale-NUS College. In this role, Dr Stanfield oversees campus life, residential living and student services at the College.
Dr Stanfield was appointed Dean of Students in 2020. He joined Yale-NUS College in 2019 from the Council of International School (CIS) where he served as the Head of Research and Development from 2014 to 2019. In that role, he helped develop the CIS International Accreditation protocol and created resources to support universities in achieving international student recruitment goals.
After obtaining his BBA in Marketing from Texas A&M University and MSc in College Student Personnel from Miami University, he served as the Director of Student Activities and First-Year Programmes at Carnegie Mellon University’s campus in Doha, Qatar where he worked alongside students to develop their leadership skills and intercultural competence. This experience led him to the Boston College Center for International Higher Education where he pursued a PhD in Higher Education Administration. His research focused on innovative forms of transnational higher education.
At Yale-NUS College, Dr Stanfield works closely with students to help them develop skills and discover passions that will help them to be professionally successful and personally fulfilled.
