Dr Genevieve Lau joined Yale-NUS college in 2017 and is currently a postdoctoral fellow within the Science division. From 2007 to 2011, she studied at the University of York (United Kingdom) and obtained a Masters in Chemistry (First Class Honours) for her work on the catalytic conversion of lignocellulosic biomass to fuels and chemicals. Thereafter, Dr Lau went on to pursue her doctorate in Chemistry at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (Switzerland), where she worked on the design and synthesis of functional materials for applications in solar energy harvesting and carbon dioxide conversion.
