In addition to being a student of Yale-NUS, you will be a member of one of three Residential Colleges. Each College has its own character, its own dining hall, common room, students café, classrooms, and student activity spaces.
If Yale-NUS College were a city, your residential college would be your neighborhood, filled with friends and adults fully invested in your happiness and academic success. Incorporated directly into the campus design, the residential colleges anchor the campus' built environment and foster lasting personal and academic and professional relationships. As at Yale, a healthy spirit of competition between the colleges will support extracurricular activities such as intramural sports and college-based performance groups.
Designed by world-famous architect César Pelli, the new Yale-NUS campus is located adjacent to the main NUS campus. The campus will have state-of-the-art facilities and services associated with the best liberal arts colleges in the United States as well as facilities unique to the Yale-NUS experience. The campus will include a Performing Arts Center, a Science Center, a multi-media Learning Commons, a Center for International and Experiential Learning, a Sports Hall, and three Residential Colleges all surrounding a beautiful green courtyard for formal and informal events, socializing, and recreation. The Yale-NUS leadership team will have its offices in the College’s core to encourage regular interaction between students and the administration.
