The Campus Center

Complementing those in the residential colleges, facilities at the Campus Center will include the Learning Commons, a gym, a blackbox theater, a Convocation Hall, and state-of-the-art laboratories and art studios. The Learning Commons will integrate multi-media features into the College Library, incorporate the latest technologies into advanced educational modules, and host virtual seminars with students at Yale and elsewhere. The gymnasium will sport a fitness center as well as facilities for basketball, volleyball, badminton and other team sports. Students will be able to mount extensive dramatic productions in the black box theater. The Convocation Hall will seat 350, room enough for an entire graduating class or residential college to gather for major talks, performances, and ceremonies. Laboratory and artistic space conveniently located at the center of campus will encourage rigorous student research and facilitate student creativity. The President of Yale-NUS College will live in the Campus Center and regularly entertain students and faculty in his or her home.
